Airline Revenue Reconciliation System (RCS)
In a traditional airline business the sale of a ticket takes place from various sources e.g. Agents, Online, GDS etc. The sale information is gathered from various sources and in various formats. It applies to the collection information, e.g. Bank deposit statements.
Thus it is essential to match the sale and collection information, which may be tedious, if carried out manually. Further to calculate flown revenue, entire life cycle of a booking (sale) needs to be tracked. For today's volumes, this is an impossible proposition, if done manually.
Credit Card Reconciliation System
The Credit Card Reconciliation System (CCR System) reconciles each of the reported credit card transaction, with its effect on the net payable to the vendor by the CC Company. Further actual funds transfer (collection) to the designated bank account is reconciled to the CC transactions.
The description below is focused on a business model for an Airline Reservation Portal for e-ticket sale. To achieve the reconciliation, the CCR System, accepts electronic files from various entities involved in the Airline e-ticket transaction like POS e.g. Airline Portal for ticket sale (Sale/Cancellation Report), Payment Gateways (Remittance Report), Designated Bank (Collection Report) of the vendor Airline etc.
Physical Paramters Calculations
Aerosoft Systems Pvt. Ltd., Pune has developed a software solution for an Airline to compute the "Physical (Quality) Parameters". The solution has two flavors, firstly as a Web enabled or secondly as processed results.
The system accepts inputs from various sources Airline CRS, Portal, Pilot Reports, Engineering Report, and Time Table etc. Data extracted is processed to compute the parameters in report format.
BSP Fare Audit
This software audits validity of fare charged by travel agents based on applicable fare circulars and charge the un-earned revenue to the sales agents.
In India, there are several domestic and international carriers. There are over 5000 sales agents, operating in various parts of the country. In 1996, all operating carriers had formed an autonomous committee called as 'BSP-India'. The BSP operates from all its offices in the four metros and other important cities. The BSP coordinates all the sale agents and airlines by acting as a central point for correspondence and settlement of billing issues.
